El Tancat de l’Albufera is a location situated just a few minutes from the city of
Valencia, surrounded by rice fields and the canals that line the
lake of Albufera. It brings together the history of rice cultivation, Mediterranean landscapes, the exceptional nature of the natural park, and the traditional gastronomy of the Valencian Community.
Located in the former Tancat de Burriel, in the heart of the marshes of Massanassa and the Huerta Sud of Valencia, the estate houses an old rice drier, a traditional Moorish oven, as well as the chimney of a former steam engine. This used to be part of a thresher that once served all the villages in the region.
Today, organising an event with us is a unique, attractive, and exclusive proposition. The venue can accommodate all types of events: family and private celebrations, corporate events, business or advertising presentations, all within a distinctive, authentic, and traditional setting.
